Don Bosco Prep’s various honor societies are dedicated to recognizing its students’ academic achievements, and the school community benefits from the talents that honor society members share with their classmates as peer tutors. Information about membership eligibility and the application process for each honor society is available in the links below.
National Honor Society Qualifications
The minimum academic qualifications for the National Honor Society at Don Bosco Preparatory will be a weighted cumulative average of 93.000 for juniors and 90.老年人1000元. Students who meet these qualifications and have attended Don Bosco Prep for at least one year will be considered candidates.
在秋天, each candidate will receive an information form on which to describe his qualities of scholarship, 领导, service and character. A committee of five faculty members appointed by the 主要 will review the information forms as well as any additional comments from faculty members. The committee will recommend membership for those candidates who demonstrate a superior degree of 领导 and service in student government, 俱乐部, sports and other activities and who uphold the principles of morality, 尊重, ethics and truthfulness.
Membership will be offered to candidates who are recommended by the faculty committee and approved by the 主要. Candidates become members by attending a suitable induction ceremony. The 主要 will receive appeals in the cases of non-selections of candidates, and in the disciplining or dismissal of members.

Ineligible Applicants:
Students may be denied acceptance into NHS for many reasons, from late applications to violating school policy. Please speak with the guidance counselor for more information.

The level and duration of service will be evaluated by the selection committee. It is important for the applicant to write 所有 relevant information pertaining to service.
The committee cannot accept additional information or anything erroneously omitted after a decision has been made, as stated in the policy of the National Honor Society. It is very important that you include 所有 服务完成.
